Kid Tigers Program

The Kid Tigers Program is a karate class specifically designed for 4 and 5 year olds.  The focus of the class is fun while learning the basics of karate. This is a starter program.

Teaches kids that learning is positive and fun.

Often it is the child's first exposure to a group learning environment and helps them adjust to formal education.

Reinforces the teaching of parents about respect and courtesy.

      Gives kids positive role models.

Improves balance and coordination, self-awareness learning left from right.

   Increases concentration and self-discipline.

     Teaches proper goal achievement

Our goal was not to develop five year old black belts to impress parents - we want to entertain, stimulate, and educate children. This is a difficult assignment because their coordination, muscles, and emotions are not yet fully developed.

Research tells us that most of our personality is formed by the age of six. Kenpo Karate can contribute to developing healthy attitudes towards ones self and others. It does so by teaching courtesy and fair play, while instilling a sense of accomplishment and self confidence.

First and foremost, classes are serious. But they are also an activity group and stay within a young child's attention span. Children learn discipline, karate traditions, confidence, basic stretching and exercises." Additionally, they learn communication skills that prepare them for first grade and graduation to a belt graded karate program. But most of all its just fun!

Kid Tigers have their own unique Ranking system, they will receive a Kid Tigers paw patch with there uniform, they will also receive 12 total achievement patches as they progress, 6 inner strength patches,(patience, discipline, focus, drive, honor and respect) and 6 outer strength patches,(balance, strong stance, great block, split club, power kick and power punch). They will also receive a yellow strip on their white belt  for learning  each of these ,star block, fighting combinations 1-5,techniques 1-5 , 6 -10  ,when short form 1 is learned, your child will receive a solid yellow bar indicating they soon will be tested for their yellow belt.Once they are tested and receive their yellow belt your child will graduate to the regular childrens class.

Beware that once a child tries karate, commitment is inevitable and you must be prepared to be the parent of A Karate Kid.

Kid Tiger Classes are :

Monday-Wenesday - Friday

8:45 to 9:30 and 3:00 to 3:45

You may choose a combination of up to 3 classes per week.

S.W.A.T. - This is our Special Winning Attitude Team. It is a select group of students from our Black Belt Club or Masters Club who serve as role models and teacher's assistants. Their responsibility is to lead by example, exemplifying the behavior, character and motivation of a tip top Black Belt.

Junior Trainee Instructor Program - This program's mission is to build future leaders of America for a better tomorrow. The program was devised in order to allow children, ages 8-15 to prepare themselves for the Trainee Instructor Program.
